A rise in popularity
Track days have become more and more popular in recent years as circuits up and down the country are making them more accessible and affordable for Joe Public. Classic Car clubs have been arranging an increasing number of track days for their members as people get the “bug”, and, want more track time with like-minded individuals who share a passion for classic vehicles whether it be Mini, Jaguar, Bentley, Triumph or MG to name just a few.
Organisation is the key
It’s these club track days that classic insurers consider providing cover for – they are less risky than a random group of people in vastly different vehicles flying around the track with something to prove. Some insurers include club track days within the policy; others have an additional charge per track day you attend.
